xBxBio's scientific team is headed by Chief Scientific Officer, Kenneth Bean. Bean is a former Quality Control and Quality Management executive at the US Food & Drug Administration. He has been contracted to create and design complex FDA clinical protocols by companies including Johnson and Johnson, AbbVie, Valeant Pharmaceuticals, Biogen, Amylin Pharmaceuticals, Boston Scientific, Medimmune, Yamatake, Allergan, and Amgen. He is a Ph.D. candidate in Biochemistry through a joint program between the University of Massachusetts and Harvard University. Bean is a co-recipient of the prestigious National Medal of Technology and Innovation Award granted by the President of the United States. It is the highest honor that the United States government can confer to one of its citizens for contributing to technological progress.​
