Job Summary: The Sr. Systems Biologist Scientist will play a pivotal role in developing, optimizing, and executing systems biology methods to support our ongoing projects. The successful candidate will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, utilizing a holistic approach to tackle biological questions. Â
Responsibilities:Â Â
Design and execute systems biology experiments to address critical questions in the organization’s research goals. Â
Analyze, interpret, and integrate various types of large-scale biological data, including genomic, proteomic, and metabolomic data. Â
Develop and apply computational and statical tools to analyze and visualize complex biological data. Â
Collaborate with experimental biologists and computational scientists to interpret results and develop predictive models. Â
Stay abreast of the latest developments in systems biology, incorporating novel techniques and insights into our research program. Â
Mentor junior scientists, aiding their development and understanding of systems biology.Â
Communicate results effectively to scientific and non-scientific colleagues and contribute to writing scientific manuscripts and grants. Â
Qualifications:Â Â
Ph.D. in Systems Biology, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field. Â
A minimum of 5 years of postdoctoral experience in an appropriate research environment.
Demonstrated experience analyzing large biological datasets using computational biology tools. Â
Strong knowledge of genomics, proteomics, and molecular biology techniques. Â
Proficiency in statical analysis and programming languages like R or Python. Â
Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex concepts into understandable terms. Â
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively in a team. Â
