Job Summary: The Sr. Geneticist Scientist will play a vital role in the design and execution of Genec research projects. This role involves leading research teams, analyzing complex genetic data, and working with cross-functional teams to translate findings into practical applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in genetics and demonstrate a commitment to excellence and innovation. Â
Responsibilities:Â Â
Plan and conduct advanced genetics research, interpreting and reporting findings and potential applications. Â
Utilize modern genetic technologies such as gene editing tools (CRISPRCas9), Next Generation Sequencing, and bioinformatics software for gene analysis. Â
Lead and mentored a team of junior scientists, fostering a supportive and growth-oriented environment. Â
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including bioinformatics, data science, and drug development teams. Â
Stay up-to-date with the latest developments and technologies in the field of genetics.Â
Contribute to scientific publications, patent applications, and presentations at scientific conferences. Â
Develop protocols and standard operating procedures to ensure data accuracy and reproducibility.Â
Qualifications:Â Â
Ph.D. in Genetics, Genomics, Molecular Biology, or a related field. Â
A minimum of 5 years of postdoctoral experience in a research-intensive environment.
Proven track record of innovative genetics research, as evidenced by peer-reviewed publications. Â
Strong familiarity with genetic tools and techniques like CRISPR, NGS, and genotyping.Â
Proficiency in bioinformatics and statical data analysis software, such as R or Python.Â
Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills. Â
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Â
